Perfectly sized Korean store with great kimchi in the fridge and all the basics you could want for lots of dishes. Definitely not my go to for southeast Asian recipes. But the people are super friendly and they have a great selection. Highly recommend shopping here
Love this family-owned and operated store! They have every Asian staple and treat you could ever dream of--I especially love their selection of ramyun, sauces/spices, and their kimchi! Cannot imagine driving through Asheville without stopping here!

Great assortment of items at reasonable prices. I've just discovered this gem and plan on coming back with new ideas and recipes! I purchased Miso, dried mushrooms, rice noodles and seaweed flakes. Definitely recommend this little Mom and Pop place!
This is my go-to spot for buying Asian groceries. It is located off of Patton ave and is super easy to get to, only a few minutes from West Asheville or downtown. The store is small but it is well organized, fully stocked and easy to find what you're looking for. The staff here are never overly friendly but are always happy to help if you need assistance. They often have fresh produce too, which is cool because I often see fruits/veggies there that I am not familiar with.
We have a few Asian markets to choose from here in Asheville, and they respectively each have their own perks. My immediate favorite thing about Kim's is the orderliness of the store. It's what you'd expect going into a major supermarket. It's well lit, the aisles are well stocked and organized with other like items. It just makes the shopping experience a lot smoother, or quicker if you're in a hurry. In my opinion, Kim's has a sizable, well stocked cold case of frozen and cold food, compared to other markets. Kim's also has a great selection of novelty items for kids. Little toys, cute chopsticks, and candy. Great hours, plenty of parking, and super friendly family owned and operated staff. I highly recommend Kim's.
